Lessee... What's occured in the past while worth noting?
Work's been going fine, for the most part - I'm getting faster at closing up now, which is good. Still need to work on the last minute duties, though. Down to only fifteen minutes after I should be out, now. XD (As opposed to more than forty-five, ehe.)
School's been a little crazy, as the midterms and projects haven't fucking stopped for the past month and a half. 225 is still a bitch, 250's still confusing, Econ I don't pay attention to any more - at least the 232 second midterm was easier.
...Which reminds me, we can pick that up tomorrow. *shudder*
Still got one midterm left to go, and two major-ish projects over the next two weeks. And then - studying for finals starts! XDDD YAYboo.
Went to Shayla's Halloween party with many folks on the Saturday beforehand -
Oh, that reminds me. On the Friday, we had a kinda-zombie-movie-marathon - Resident Evil, 28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead, etc, at school; went back to the townhouse for viewings of Ghostbusters and Evil Dead 2. XD Of course, after we saw the latter, had to watch 'To Mend and Defend' - that episode makes so much more sense once you've seen that movie! Groovy.
(It was also geeky costume day, and I dressed as Rena again. (Razzy! I even found a full-length leather trenchcoat that I didn't know I had! XD)) Nothing says geeky like a character from a Matrix-like universe fanmade RP.
Anywhoo. Back to party.
There was much candy, and booze (and pirating! Yes, I went to it as a pirate, yarr), and I had largely ginormous shares of the former and somewhat less of the latter. Just enough to get buzzed, yet still able to play DDR. XD Which we did, in high style.
I was declared to be an android. Apparently, no human is capable of moving their legs as fast and for as long as I did.
Also had much chuckling as newbies tried at it - including Trav! Although, truly, it was his second time (though he did say the first time that he'd never go on it again... XDD).
It was fun, at any rate. Followed up by breakfast at Bon's, of course.
Tomorrow be Noah's 21st b-day party - they're having a DJ in at the townhouse, and there shall be much revelry. Maybe I'll actually get a chance to drink this time... Although it won't be too too much if I do. Do have to work in the morning.
Speaking of parties, Omar's 19th is in the latter part of the month - two weeks from now, maybe? Don't quite remember.
It shall be glorious. *insert evil laughter here*
He was the one, after all, that gave us handcuffs on Trav and I's birthday... We shall have to pay him back for that, yessss.
Getting him absolutely slammed is a given, of course, but I think there was talk of taking him to Brandy's (Brandi's? Who knows) beforehand.
If you happen to recognize that name, yes, that is the strip club that led to the breakup of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. XDDD Some fine strippers we have here in Vancouver.
Ah, and the newest craze in the townhouse must be remarked upon... All of the regulars are getting their hair dyed in outrageous colours. I've always had my blonde streaks since they've known me, of course, but Noah and Omar changed their hair to bright red and navy blue (respectively) earlier in the semester.
Now, Noah's hair is a magenta-ish red, Omar's is orange, his girlfriend's is a bright red-orange, their History-majoring roommate has already had his bleached and is getting the front section purple-ized, and Aimee had her bangs done in a red-purple earlier this afternoon.
Travis, when I saw him today, was a blonde (as opposed to normal brown).
Now, he's apparently green.
I can certainly say that I can't wait to see it - I've known he was going to do that for a couple of weeks, at least - as I don't know whether or not it's turned out horrible yet. XD
Ah well. They'll be after me next to do something with my streaks other than blonde. I think purple, if I can find the right shade... Or maybe blue. Purple's probably slightly more work-friendly, though. XD
Unfortunately, I haven't had so much time for RP and general funstuff aside from socializing lately... Between work and school and said socialness, there just hasn't been time. I've been on Furc a little, Eternal Fantasy once or twice, and have been singularly away from the Pern RPs for the past couple of weeks. That hasn't been entirely by non-choice, though... I'm pissed off at the results of the hatching at Fallen Existence. Cecil's dragon, that I was alright with - but Rosa completely didn't deserve what she got, and I already had one of the Sprites to begin with. >.< More than a little disappointment and bitterness there.
So, I've decided I'm finally going to restart Eternal Forest again... We'll see how this incarnation goes. Going to change things up a little, add a few new player character species, dragon types, pets, etc - and hopefully move towards a new plotline I thought of a day or two ago. 'Beyond Between' is a good source of inspiration.
What happens, happens.
And on a last note - why do the Americans continue to reinforce the stereotype of bible-thumping idiot rednecks who vote purely on the basis of theology and nothing else, such as what might be best for themselves and everyone else in the world?
