Post-Exam Pre-Yule Update XD

magedragonfireAs Trav put it a couple nights ago, it was about time I made one.
So, exams for me finally finished last Thursday... It would've been the Tuesday before that, but I somehow managed to get ill ten minutes into the linear algebra exam, and thus had to do a rewrite. ^^; Damned prescriptions that make you icky.
As for how I did... Well, 250 and 225 I was fairly confident on (but have been too lazy/afraid to check what the marks were), 232 I've already found out (wasn't as good as I might have hoped, but I did decently enough... And at least I passed), and I'm scared shitless to look at Econ - that was the one exam worth 100%.
Quite disgusting, to say the least.
But at least it's over now.
In the meantime, I've mostly been partying, shopping, and working. Reema's gone off on vacation for the next week, so I'm the fill-in full-time gal, while one of the dudes from Guildford comes over and subs in for my usual hours. ^^;; Turns out Reema's also decided to quit after January... So we're busy getting in resumes and stuff for someone to cover her, since I don't know completely what I'm doing yet, and don't have the time to be working full-time anyways.
So, that's not going to be fun, especially if I end up having to help train the new person. ^^;;
Three parties have come and gone - Omar's going away party on Thursday, the LAN party on Friday, and the politically correct, holiday coincident, something-or-other party on Saturday. At the first, sushi-and-BBQ stuffing was had (and bubble tea!), followed by a trip to an arcade somewheres on Hastings. I nearly made myself ill with the combination of overeating and DDR, but it was worth it - got a chance to play some songs I've only ever done on DWI before, hehe. There was also a nifty drumming game that had some DDR songs on it (Break Down! and Heaven is a '57 Metallic Grey, hehe), and oooooold games. I rocked Trav's ass on Puzzle Bobble 4, and the ghosts rocked Noah's ass on Pac-Man. It was commented on how good the simple AI in that game was many times throughout the ass-kicking. XD
There was much Quaking at the LAN party - as the hardcore gamers were not there with their fancy machines and games, and it was actually for the better because of it. XD We had everyone playing a single game before 10 o'clock, hehe. There was also Dig-Dug and Pac-man there, and I practiced up on both (and got rather good; beat the 5th level of PM).
There was pirate eggnog aplenty at the holiday-coincident party. XD My shortbread cookies that I slaved over hours beforehand went over quite well, too, and we watched some funky British comedy series called "Look Around You", as well as the old "Rudolph" movie. Yes, the claymation one. XD So funny how that movie is so innocent when you're a kid, but then ye grow up and see all the sexism, racism, and various forms of discrimination in it. XDD
And then there has been the various shopping... I went shopping with mom for meself on Sunday, which went alright - got a replacement bag for the bag of DOOM, which now has a broken zipper. Poor thing's lasted me five years... But it has seen better days.
Also got various books, clothes, etc, etc.
On Tuesday, I went and got most of my shopping for other folks yet... Of course, I can't comment on what they all are yet, not until folks have opened them. XD
But speaking of presents, I wanna see what Trav got meh. XD It's among one of the only things that I don't know the identity of in my pile, and it's in a tiny lil' box... Which makes it intriguing, oh yes.
And tomorrow shall be the shredding of giftwrap and the feasting. Mmmmm, feast...
On the accomplishments side on DWI, I managed to get a B on Bag yesterday at normal-speed, an A on Sakura, and a D on Max 300. ^^ My first time ever passing that song, hehe, so naturally I was quite proud of myself.
On the not-so-good side, however, I've been feelin' kinda rotten over the past week or so... Dunno what's wrong, but there is burning where there should not be burning, and the washroom has become my friend every two hours or so. Not fun... Wondering if I managed to get an infection somehow, but meh. Hoping it'll clear itself up without me having to go see a doc about it, yarr.
Oh, and Razzy - you're not the only one who angsts over characters in the worst way possible. XD Poor Rydia-kitsu was feeling very sorry for herself last night, and of course I always end up empathizing completely with my charas... Which made me as upset as she was. XD Bah. Silly, maybe, but I count it as some sort of talent, or something. I feel what nonliving beings feel, whoo!
