*whinesnivelcryyyy*
Jan. 31st, 2004 12:33 pmI feel ill. >< Bleh, I think I caught a cold from someone... Will murder whoever it was. Merf. Throat's all scratchy, and there's a general feeling of unwellness...
Which isn't really good to have now, considering I've got two midterms on Monday. If there's anything worse than having to write a test, it's having to write a test when you feel like shit.
And I've got work tomorrow at 6 AM, too... Might have to call in sick if I get worse.
But anywhoo. The quiz in MACM wasn't as bad as I thought - it was actually one of the proofs that I half-understood, so I think I got something better than failing. ^^;;; Have to go through the assignments today and study, though...
Going to be joining a PnP RPG about Fallout. Must read the manual at some point... I've never played anything like D&D before, hehe, but it's been on my list of things to do for a good while, now.
Went to Playdium Thursday night with the moron, Bighead, and the other moron, completely ignoring the fact that I had an eight-thirty class, hehe. Good fun, 'twas... Showed up a few Asians on DDR Extreme, after I got used to the stupid metal pad - the side I was on was somewhat damaged, and wouldn't register steps unless played exactly right.
And football video games can actually be fun, under the right circumstances. ^^;;;; BIGHEAD! Hee!
The engineers at school are going to be throwing themselves into the ice-cold pond at the top of the AQ for charity. ^^; We're allowed to put money on certain ones - will be doing so for the 'heathen engineer' who hangs about in the CS common room for reasons unexplained, hehe.
Saw someone in the halls of school, actually, that I haven't talked to in a while. I thought it was really rather darkly funny, actually - she was alone, while I was tripping down the hallways with mah buds. Quite the change from high school. Couldn't stop to talk - we were on the way to class - but the situation reminded me so much of a certain song... The chorus of that song by GOB - y'know, Give up the Grudge? - makes so much poetic justice in things.
Monty Python sketches are good. XD "This, sir, is an EX-parrot!"
Oh, and I have a new play to add to my list of 'completely fucked up things'. "Baby With the Bathwater" was the newest show put on by Phantasm, and thusly went and saw it last night. It was quite funny, somewhat dark, but reeeeeally insane. ^^;;; After the show, I stayed behind to help with strike and catch up with a few people that I haven't talked to in ages... One of which was quite surprised that I could tilt a full 12-foot tall flat onto its narrow side without hardly any assistance. Teehee, I wonder how strong I'd be if I actually bothered to go to the gym and build up a little...
We all went out to Kelly O'Bryan's after the show - well, the cast and crew, anyways, and I was dragged along for no reason. ^^; Good food and drinks, there. Properly Irish. ^^
After I got home last night, I couldn't help but go outside and stare at the sky for a bit - after midnight, the stars really tend to shine rather brightly. There was a shooting one, too... I don't think that there're any 'scheduled' displays during January, so it must've been a stray one - all the more reason to feel warm and fuzzy about it. ^.^
And, finally...
I have passed the test, and I am now deemed worthy to be known as a ... ... Sorceress. In the war between good and evil, Sorceresses take the side of the noble and good. I am gifted with the elemental plane of Air.
A Sorceress creates magic the way a poet creates poems, with inborn talent honed by practice. They have no books, no mentors, no theories; just raw power that they direct at will. Some Sorceress' claim that the blood of dragons courses through their veins. It may even be true-it is common knowledge that certain powerful dragons can take humanoid form and even have humanoid lovers, and it’s difficult to prove that a given a Sorceress does not have a dragon ancestor. A Sorceress often has striking good looks, usually with a touch of the exotic that hints at an unusual heritage. Still, the claim that a Sorceress is partially draconic is either an unsubstantiated boast on the part of a certain Sorceress or envious gossip on the part of those who lack the Sorceress's gift.
Your powers are highly attuned to the elemental plane of air. Storms and the powers of the winds come at your beck and call. Sometimes a magic user tuned to the elemental plane of air has the power to fly at will, and infuse his living body with the powers of his element. Often mages of air will build their strongholds or magical dwellings in high places such as mountain tops or flying citadels high above the earth where they can be close to their element. Some of the more powerful spells in your arsenal include Lightning Bolt, Desert Twister, and Divine Wind.

Teehee. I've been calling myself a sorceress for years, and this only serves to further that... I'm not surprised that Air is there - it really is one of the elements I feel closer to.
I am a Mist Dragon!
In the war between good and evil, a Mist Dragon tends to walk the fine line of Neutrality....
When it comes to the powers of Chaos vs. those of Law and Order, your inner dragon walks a fine line between Law and Chaos....
As far as magical tendancies, Your inner dragon has the ability to conquer the world of magic, but it will not be easy....
During combat situations, a true Mist Dragon prefers to defeat opponents by the use of spells and other tactics....
The Mist Dragon is a highly magical being. It makes its home in moist areas, but seems to have the ability to appear in any fog or mist in any climate. It is unclear as to whether these dragons follow mist, or mist follows these dragons.
The Mist Dragon is a grayish blue in color, and floats freely in air as though it were mist itself. The Mist Dragon never leaves tracks or traces of it's passing. These dragons move very gracefully and swiftly through their element.
Mist Dragons are very free in nature and seem to be very unpredictable personalities. They are outspoken, and often are harbingers of great changes or happenings.
This dragon's favorite elements are: Willow Trees and Blue Agate.

That was what I got the first time I did the quiz, but forgot to save the results. ^^;; Very appropriate at points, I thought...
But the second one that I got while trying to remember the choices I picked also seems to match quite well in other places.
I am an Aurora Dragon!
In the war between good and evil, a Aurora Dragon tends to walk the fine line of Neutrality....
When it comes to the powers of Chaos vs. those of Law and Order, your inner dragon is a risk taker and answers to no one....
As far as magical tendancies, Your inner dragon has the ability to conquer the world of magic, but it will not be easy....
During combat situations, a true Aurora Dragon prefers to defeat opponents by the use of spells and other tactics....
The Aurora Dragon likes cool air and wide open spaces. It comes out at twilight and shies away from direct sunlight. The Aurora Dragon is independent and opinionated with a firm grasp on its desires. They love adventure and will try most anything once.
The Aurora Dragon appears to be night blue, but something about its scales (or perhaps its magical nature) creates a multicolor holographic effect around its body, almost as though it is constantly flying through an ever changing cloud of color.
Highly intelligent, The Aurora Dragon likes games of mental challenge and tends to finish in the winners bracket. They are perceptive and intuitive but tend to hold grudges. Very verbal--not a quiet or shy dragon, the Aurora Dragon makes friends easily. It is with great difficulty that The Aurora Dragon puts aside any injustice it has ever received--whether real or imagined. The Aurora Dragon loves freedom and would wither if put in constraints.
This Dragons favorite elements are: Opals, Wind, and Free Spirits.
So, yeah. Time to go think about studying, now, I think...
