Bwaaah. ^^ A week of nice-and-some-not-so-nice-nicieties.
*blink*
Whatever the hell that meant.
I spent most of the week doing nothing... Albeit, agonizing over my mark in Calculus - I thought I had failed the course. I knew I hadn't done stellar, but I thought I had done better than what the grade-page was showing that I had. ^^; Over at another page, though, it showed the mark as an 'N', incomplete. I emailed the professor about it when I came home from my exploits last night, and it turns out that, for some reason, my final exam mark hadn't been calculated into the total mark. Upon contacting the sirrah who runs the labs (and keeps the exams), it turns out that my exam was there, was marked, but hadn't been entered for some silly inane reason.
Thus, I now have a C+ in Math 152, too, and a whole whack of stress off my back. Whee!
I'm getting quite pissed off at work - they've only been scheduling me one shift a week for the longest while, and it seems that every shift that I take, they end up sending me home because the shop hasn't been busy enough. >.< If things don't improve in the next little bit, I'm going to have to go out and start looking for another job... Blah.
That's really been the only bad thing, though.
Whilst I was out at the mall today with mom - and groaning inwardly at her inability to order anything from Starbucks - I managed to pick myself up a cheapish copy of The Princess Bride. XD Inconceivable!
Really a good book, that - better than the movie, I'd say. I've read it already, but I shall certainly do so again, hehe.
I wandered back onto Furc sometime in the past week - quite surprised at the number of people who've greeted me back wholeheartedly after my absence. ^^ *feels loved*
Friday was a good day - Travis and I managed to trip out to our first official date, hehe. We haunted a little sushi place out in Fort Langley that he knew of - it really was quite a nice place. Only problem was that he kept making fun of my inability to use chopsticks proficiently.
>.> I'll get better! I just need practice, 'tis all.
We went and checked out Ye Olde Secondary's production of 'Good Night, Desdemona, Good Morning, Juliet' afterwards. It was... Interesting. Funny, but most definitely strange. XD Saw a few of the old crowd while we were there, introduced Trav around, and tried not to shriek into giggles when Sean (he was playing Romeo) came onstage in his female getup - yes, that's right, Romeo became a crossdresser during the course of the thing.
XDD
And once that was done with, we went and drove around aimlessly for a bit. Pointed out some of the sights of Surrey to him, and suchling.
Good times.
Also good times was last night - although some parts could do with forgetting. ^^;; A hastily assembled party of us (Omar, Noah, Morgan, Tibi, and I) hightailed it downtown in search of shisha and other delights. Apparently, a 'going-away-shisha' had already been done earlier in the week in honour of Omar (who's heading back to Toronto for the summer), but we decided to give another one for the hell of it.
Myyyy, but that stuff is good. And so's the tea at the Persian Teahouse.
After a few sumptry delights at DV8, we checked out Morgan's office - he does professional web development and hosting - and at some point I managed to realize that the last Skytrain home was likely departing - without me. ^^;;;
In a mad rush, we tried to catch up with the silly train, but to no avail. (On a side note, I really shouldn't drive around in convertibles without my hair tied back. It goes flying everywhere. XD)
Phonecalls home resulted in nothing but the phone screeching in my ear, and thus Tibi volunteered to drive me back, many thankfullys. Must find a way to make it up to him - as he lives all the way out in Richmond and all. ^^;;;
Ooooh, and I also purchased the first bit of my new box - a 120G, 7200 RPM Maxtor hard-drive. Slightly used, but it's still got a year left on the warrenty, so if it bursts into flames or something things shall all be good. XD
Now, then - time to go immerse myself into the fairytale-but-not. ^^
