But I dun wanna go to bed. >.> Too much stuff I haven't had time to do lately.
I've been running at about five hours of sleep a night for the past two weeks... And while some of you may stay up far later than that, I don't. I need sleep to function. >.>

So, where was I...?

Oh, yes, the polar plunge. Things went fine - it wasn't near as cold as I thought it would be, but chilly nonetheless. And quite icky, since it was raining beforehand. I was the fourth person in, and Trav the third, since we had to rush off to dry off and go to our walkthrough for 275 right afterwards. XD
Unfortunately, we lost to the engineers in terms of donation totals... 1,400 to 2,000. XD Of course, they collected nearly half of theirs in the last hour before the plunge, and only because Angelica sent out a very taunting e-mail the night before. XDD

And they used my bear-jar to collect their dirty money in! Bah!

But still, all told, we raised nearly 4000 dollars. All goin' to charity, mmhm.

Bears! ^^ )

After that, a bunch of us went out to dinner at an Irish pub, and then we went swimming. I hadn't been swimming in forever... And had thusly not used certain muscles in a long, long time. ^^; They were still screaming at me a couple of days ago, and I was still stiff yesterday.
I refound out that swimming in giantly chlorinated pools makes my skin reeeeally soft.
Once 'everybody out of the poooool!' happened, I went back up to the townhouse, and talked with Trav, Noah, and random engineers - I think that's who they were, anywhoo. Interesting conversation occured, particularly about the work it took to get the two of us together (which was halfways strange, since Omar had been talking about the exact same thing while we were at the pool XD).
And my suspicions about Hans were confirmed. ^^; That would've been far too weird... Ye gods, the dude is how much older than me, now? Seven years, or somesuch? XD Yeesh.
But I do like it when they speak as if it took so much manipulating on Trav's side, or everyone else's side... XD And they totally forget about the manipulating it took me. Perhaps mine was just all the more subtle - but isn't that what it's all about? Yay mind control!

Mmm, pineapple chunks and strawberries and chocolate sauce...

Er, anywhoo.

Edie, after continuing to frustrate me, has finally been fired Friday. Hoolay! I can't help but feel halfways bad about feeling happy that she's gone, but really, it's going to make life (work in particular) a lot easier for me. At least until we get the next new girl, anyways. XD I'll still have to be doing the end of day reports and what-not for the next bit - but at least Marla, from the Guildford office, knows what she's doing. Quite well. ^^;;; She's the one who trained me over there.

Midterms this week... Ick is all I have to say to that.

Certain folks on the 275 team are driving certain other folks up the wall. *cough* Why can't folks do their stuff ahead of time? I mean, I know I'm a horrid procrastinator, but at least when it's a group effort, I do my bit!
I can only come to the conclusion that people are utterly stupid, in general.

Well, most people. There are some that aren't.

I think.

I fixed some of me webpage today - link up at the top, there. Unfortunately, it looks like the webcrawlers weren't able to get the Yumera index pages... I haven't decided whether I'll pull up the rest of that one or not, yet. Got Rydia's character description back up, at least. (http://www12.brinkster.com/tatsuka/characters/rydia.html)

Teehee, pop sales in the common room have improved due to the introduction of Fruitopia - and who d'ya think suggested we put that in there? XD My fosterling sells about as well as Coke itself, right now; a flat or more a day, I think the total was.
And no more playing manual coin-op! Minolta finally got their collective asses off the ground and fixed the damned thing.

Reminder to self: pay phone bill. Also kick Sean's ass until he pays back what he owes on both this one and last month's.

Finally finished KH:CoM on Friday... And downloaded the trailer for KH2. ^^;;; And now I really, reeeeally wanna play that game. There's something rather nice about the first one - and the trailer made me remember all of it. I don't know why - but Disney and FF just works!

In yay news tonight, I was mindin' my own business on Furc, when Cameo (one of the head folks) announced a Valentine's Day trivia contest.
Well, of course, I perked up at the word 'trivia'. XD Thought I could at least win somethin' little. She said the contest was only going to be ten or so questions, so.
The questions ranged from insanely easy ("What colour of rose is typically associated with Valentine's Day?") to rather difficult ("On Valentine's Day in Japan, girls typically give chocolate to boys as a sign of affection. There is another holiday where boys give chocolate in return to gals that they like - what is its name?"). Red and White Day, by the way. XD
Before the questions started, I went and looked up a few things about the history of V-day, just so I'd be prepared. I didn't bother answering the first few - they were for relatively small prizes, just either a red or yellow rose that gets displayed when folks click on your description for a couple of weeks. You can give 'em away to other folks, too, which is mostly the point.
The last two questions, however, had bigger prizes going for 'em. The first was a pair of butterfly wings - they're pritty, so I tried to answer that one. XD Knew the answer, too, but I wasn't the first to get it in.
The very last question was the best prize, a phoenix for a year. Question: "In the late 19th century, people would buy _____ valentines - rather insulting, brightly-coloured cards to send them to other folks on Valentine's Day. Fill in the blank! (Hint: It's something you'd probably find in your kitchen.)"
Well, of course, I had read about vinegar valentines in my two minutes of studying... XD So I fired off the answer (which came off as vinger in my haste of typing XDD) - and was contacted back by Cameo a mere second later. And a round of congratulations from various folks when she announced I got it after that, hehe.
So, I now have a second phoenix, and I don't have any idea what to do with it. XDD I could keep it... Make another character, or keep it on Ry. Or maybe sell it, trade it for another Digo or two, or get some art done with it. Who knows?

Not bad, really, though - those things cost forty bucks USD, or something like that. Maybe thirty.

But speaking of Valentine's Day... Ye gods, this is the first one that I won't have any excuse to get depressed during.
I didn't used to be able to stand the day... It always just reminded me how alone I was, how silly, how unpopular, how non-pretty... It is a day of hell for single folk, they say - but it's even worse when you're in high school, seeing all the doting couples about you, and putting you forcibly on the outside. Most of the time, I didn't care - I was perfectly happy to be alone... But that day just always got to me.
But now... I'm not alone any more. Hooray indeed. And I don't really care if anything special happens - at the least, he's taking a vacation from his VPR stuffs after the Coke-dude drops stuff off, so we'll get to spend some time together. Not had a lot of time to do that lately. ^^;

And, hey, every day's special when yer can do that, isn't it?
