Think it's about time for another post.

...But mou. It turns out the cheesiness has some bit of truth to it. T.T
I think I've finally recovered from the sunburn. Figures that the burning daymoon decides to be nice to me for the first few days - and on the last, takes its revenge. Of course, it didn't show until we were on the way back, so I was stuck itchy, heatingnessed, and miserable in the truck all the way home. Had to sleep with icebeanbags on my knees that night, and utilized one of the icepacks we keep around for cold therapy at the clinic the next day. Could hardly walk at all, it was so bad on the knees - and let's not get started on me shoulders. Was definitely worse than the weekend before.
But I don't look nearly so lobsterish now, as it's faded to a tannish sort of thing, and looks fairly decent - except for the tan lines. I have the most horrific tan lines. ^^;
Things've been busy at the clinic lately. Even though Joy's 'gone', she still manages to bug either one clinic or the other, and phones the other one with 'projects'. I dislike her projects - and I've already got more than enough to do without worrying about finding silly statistics about the fiscal year two years ago. Bah.
Working six days next week, too - one shift probably thirteen hours or so. At least I managed to weasel out of doing a closing shift Friday night at Guildford - I'll take the morning, thankee. For one, I don't know how to close up that place, and for two, I don't want my whole evening wasted there.
At least the pay's halfways adding up.
Which reminds me, must pay phone bill and tuition after this. Yes. And registration deposit.
...Which also reminds me, must figure out what the hell I'm taking next semester. I don't want to do any math courses - I'm mathed out at the moment - so maybe I'll do a couple of electives. Geography or mythology or a language or something. But for CMPT courses... Maaaaybe 361, 'cause graphics does sound interesting - but the dude who's teaching it has the reputation for overworking his poor students. Might give me a chance to instill some work ethic back into myself, anywhoo. We'll see.
Have had to put the Harvest Moon antics on hold for a little bit - got Metroid Prime 2 yesterday. It's got zombies! Or something close to the concept. XD There're actually benevolent living beings that speak in it, though, which is weird for a Metroid game. And a buncha marines died at the beginning. Poor marines. They always get the short side of the stick.
Icewing's almost done her tenure as trial-y staff at TGT. Already handed in her character description to Ska and Minty, so she'll have a pritty pritty picture soon enough. Post it once I get it, I will. First time I'll have had an artist do something of one of my characters - and figures that it's Icy. She's... what, eight years old, now? Definitely my oldest character, tied with Dragonfire.
It also figures that she gets hit on and/or accosted for sex as much as she does. Yes, she is a unique character, and quite a pretty one, too - and she does work in a slaving establishment, so you gotta expect some folk attempting. But there are many reasons why no-one will get in the sack with her, and why she will remain naive to all the attempts to turn her on or hit on her.
For one, she was an Articuno when I created her. She's an anka now, the Arabian bird that the Articuno was probably based off of, but as I have no real description of what the hell an anka looks like, she looks sort of like an Articuno. XD There've definitely been some modifications, but I've definitely taken a few aspects of the Pokemon into the character. And, as anyone who's played the Pokemon games from Silver/Gold onwards knows, the legendary Pokemon don't breed, and don't have genders because of this fact. I always thought of Articuno as a gal meself, though, and so Icewing was born. She still is a gal, and I play her as one - but she's also asexual because of the genderless background. No interest in sex. Nada. She doesn't get it, and doesn't understand why everyone makes such a big deal about it. Since she's the only one of her kind, reproduction is not going to be something happening any time soon unless a male anka miraculously shows up - which there won't be, because it's such an obscure creature. So why would she have any urge to mate at all? She's probably relatively 'young' in terms of anka-years - only a century or so - she's been cloistered away from the outside world all her life from living in the mountains, and I haven't ever heard of the creatures suddenly being infested with an insane lust that only twenty-six rounds of mindless fucking can cure. Hey, maybe they can be. I dunno. I'm just gonna play the species as I imagine it to be for now, thankee.
For another thing, I shudder to think of what a dragon-anka hybrid would be like. She's already a vicious huntress. Nothing needs that put in combination with a dragon. XD
(Why dragons? That seems to be the number one species that're currently chasing her.)
And thirdly - and this is not only aimed at those chasing Icewing, but those chasing Daelin, or any of my other characters who seem to have this huge sex appeal that I don't know where they got it from - I don't write sex-stuff any more. Yes, I used to, and I was told I was good at it by those I wrote it with. My 1337 3nglizh skillz apparently have some use in producing smut. Yay! But no, I don't do it now. I haven't done it in - guess? - about a year and four months.
And yes, as some of you have said, I know that writing erotica through roleplay can be meaningful and more than smut in some plot situations - look at what Rai was just doing, when he went insane. That was a good time to have it (Rydia was spared from it, though; he never got around to trying to kill her before he met Ember XD). I know that it doesn't mean you're actually trying to romantically link up or have sex with me. It's with the character. I understand the IC/OOC divide quite well, more than a few people I know who RP, and my own emotions don't drive my characters' emotions. I would never be able to play Daelin and Shinshime at the same time if this were true - simultaneously trying to manipulate someone's death in a fit of devious cold-rage while being completely gentle and at peace with myself and others around me? Holy multiple personality disorder, Batman - but I have pulled that off successfully many a time.
But.
Sorry to lay it to you, but my boyfriend? He's not an RPer (unless he's really been holding back on the info or something). And while I know that couples writing erotica with folk who aren't their significant other is often accepted in RP circles, it generally ain't outside of them. He means much, much more to me than you getting your jollies off over some text does. End o' story.
