Small updates tonight. I don't think I have anything really profound to speak on this day~

Yeesh, I've been doing a bunch of writing over the past couple of days, but I've still got a ton more to go. I've been lacking inspiration over the past couple of weeks for the Weyrs, so there's been barely any posts there, and now that the timeskip has hit for Midgard, I've a few logs during the year to write, not to mention two more to do before the week is up due to Cathedral-escape shenanigans. It's getting to be a bit of an intimidating pile. x.o

My X-box-USB adapter finally arrived, so I now have the complete DDR/Dancing Stage song sets to dance away to. It's kind of awesome, really. I'm a little out of practice - my endurance isn't as good as it used to be - but I can still do a couple of the nine-footers, so most everything's cool there. Maybe now I'll actually get good enough to do a ten-foot~

As of last Thursday, I have been officially jobbed. Had an interview Wednesday with a publishing company that does calenders for fundraising efforts and stuff. They were looking for someone to type names and such into their database system, as well as proofreading said names and such, so I went through a round of questions, and then a typing (scored 'bout 80, which is slower than my usual) and proofing test (no word on the results, but I'm assuming it was high). They called me back about an hour after the interview, but I wasn't home at that point, so I had to call 'em back the next morning. Very interested in having me, apparently, so I guess I did some impressing. The pay's pretty good, at 12 bucks an hour, and it's a solid 40 hours a week from October to December.
The only problem is that it's out in the middle of buttfuck nowhere - 191st and 21st, in a newly-developed (and still in production) industrial area. There's, like, nothing there. You can't even get a bus out there from here - you can get close, but two hours after I would've needed to be there by. XD They wanted me to start at 7:30, too, which would've been an extreme pain in the ass - that being when Mom starts morning shifts, and she's not home 'til half an hour after that for evening ones.
Thankfully, they offered me an 8:30 start time instead, so things'll work out until we can get a second car.

So now I just have to figure out what I'm doing about school! ...Fun.

My pet menagerie has grown by one. I bought a betta last week - a pretty royal-blue male (he has a bit of red on his 'whisker' fins, too, but he's not really mottled like some can be). I named him Daelin, and up until yesterday he was swimming quite happily around and blowing bubble nests (horny betta, hooray?) all over his bowl. Unfortunately, he seems to have gotten kinda listless since then, and hangs out a lot down at the bottom of the bowl, not moving... And today, he developed these little white spots all over himself. >.> From what I've read, it sounds like he's got ich. Sigh. I'll have to go find some fishy-cure tomorrow. And a proper net. And some better food, 'cause I don't think he likes those flakes he came with too much. Ah well, hopefully it will not be a lasting thing.

And... that's about it, I think~
