I finally figured out why a bunch of the sentences I've been writing lately have been bugging me - but only after re-reading them.

I SPLIT INFINITIVES WITH ADVERBS LIKE WHOA.

And now I can proceed to be bugged, and then shrug, as split infinitives are 100% okay. Yay!
