I've been pretty slow with mine - my compulsively-collecting-Pokemon nature means that sometimes I take huge breaks to get the right time of day to collect all the Pokemon available in an area, and then of course I like to travel through cities during the daytime, and...
...Well, anyways, long story short, I've been playing since Tuesday and I'm just getting to Azalea Town now.
I did manage to capture a Kangaskhan through the Pokewalker the very first day. It was level 8 at a time when most of my party was still, oh, level 5 or 6. Helpful, that.
Best thing with the Pokewalker, though, was when I caught a Machop with my pants. Yesterday, Trav and I were hanging out on a couch, and I was in the midst of making myself comfortable when suddenly the tinkly little 'hey you caught a Pokemon!' erupted - from my jeans pocket. Somehow I managed to get the exact right combination of buttons pressed. Go figure.
...And I just managed to catch a shiny Rattata. First shiny I've ever seen across any of the games, aside from the original red Gyarados. Awesome.
