magedragonfireYeah, as the title says. I know have a bandage on my right index finger to prove the viciousness of certificate frames. ^^;
While I was upstairs cleaning my room (and singing badly in five different languages! XD English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Swedish, if you must know) I decided to frame my grade 7 piano certificate. Only problem with the frame was that it had a cardboard thing on the back that let it stand up like a picture frame, as well as wall hooks. Didn't want the cardboard there - it made the frame bulge out from the wall instead of laying flat.
I got the cardboard piece removed well enough, but it was the metal hinge that kinda made things difficult - 'twas sunk deep into the cardboard backing. After trying to pry it off for a few minutes with no success, I finally took a pen to it, inserting the pointy bit under the metal and trying to lift it off. That got me nowhere, so I decided to forcefully smash the pen against it a few times - a very stupid idea, it turned out to be.
Those hinges are sharp.
So now three of my fingers have small cuts across the joints, and my index finger's tip above the nail was sliced open quite nicely. ^^;
After staunching the bleeding and finding a bandaid, I went back for revenge, back to the prying method. This time, I managed to snap off the tip of the pen clean off and leak ink over the carpet.
Needless to say, I finally conceded defeat and let the stupid hinge have its way. ^^; There's only so much a person can do against stubborn metal bits.
I also dug out my tarot deck, after I finished. Did three seperate readings - all three of them seemed to indicate monumental changes in the times ahead for me. I think this may be a good thing, but apparently I should approach them carefully... Rejection and The Tower were two cards that popped up, and neither are very good portents. ^^;
The third reading seemed to be quite good, though - changes occuring after a small period of burden, and something about relationships ahead (both Love and The Lovers came out with that one). Which is very good news. ^^; I could use that sorta change in my life.
