Since you asked for it...
Nov. 8th, 2003 05:08 pmMerf. Somebody obviously needs input on my life, for some very strange reason. ^^; So I shall fulfill my promise and update this thing, after... How long has it been?
Eh, anyways.
I hath been extremely busy as of late, which is mostly the reason for not updating too much. The other part has been laziness - and, as one o' my new buds can tell you, laziness is a good thing. Most of the time. Except when you really should be doing something more than nothing, but I digress.
Two rounds of midterms, assignments, and essays later, my life is almost back to a tolerable state. ^^; I've still got a rather large paper due next week, another midterm, and a big programming assignment in a couple of weeks, but it's dealable with, thankfully.
Went and saw The Matrix: Revolutions on Wednesday night with about 200 other geeks. XD It was fun, all of us packed in front of the Imax screen... The movie itself was good at times, disappointing at some parts, but not the worst thing I've ever seen. I've taken to wearing my trinity ring lately - kinda a symbol of sorts - but I probably shouldn't say anything else for fear of spoiling it for someone.
Although - I do think that the Wachowskis have seen entirely too much Akira Toriyama stuff. ^^; The final battle between Neo and Smith was completely Dragonball Z styled, and the machine city kept reminding me of the Black Omen from Chrono Trigger...
Spent all day yesterday at school, even though my classes were only for two hours early in the morning. ^^; Socializing can be a fun thing, I've found, especially with the right company. I just need to brush up on my knowledge of computers, and I should do rather well in this new activity, methinks...
And I also conquered IRC! XD
And finally, my somewhatish rant for the month.
Of late, I've been particularly bothered by a condition - one I like to call 'singularity'. What is this, you ask? Merely the affliction of having an utter lack of significant others - of all types! - in life. Not only does it tend to affect me (and I do realize this is likely my fault entirely, on that particular count - I haven't exactly spent the last few years trying to chase after guys), but it's somehow crossed over into my Internet life and has affected all of my roleplaying characters as well.
Among my favourite characters, perhaps one is in a serious relationship (although it's incredibly ironic that he's probably the most removed from myself - being a HE and all). True, Rydia-fox is being courted, and she's one of my favourites, so the count should probably be up to two sooner or later, but still!
It's getting incredibly annoying. And discouraging. And I'm almost beginning to think that I'm doomed to a life of singularity.
Almost.
There are benefits to being the lone active female first-year in the CSSS.
Hehehehehe...
