Procrastinating.
Feb. 21st, 2007 10:37 pmJust a weeeee bit more goofing off before I get back to studying the mythy things again.
Today was mostly a drag. I couldn't get to sleep last night until late because I was having coughing fits, and I woke up this morning to more of the same. I kinda felt like bleeeeeah as I rolled out of bed and made it up to campus - my energy level was so low, I was almost about to fall over on the 145 a couple of times, until I just sagged against one of the poles and clung.
Had my Chinese midterm today. I dunno, I think it went alright, but I'm kinda unsure of a few of the answers I put. We'll see how it goes. Got 96% and 94% respectively on Ling 222 and 221's midterms, so things're alright there. Mythology is my last one for a couple weeks... But, ugh. It's late at night, so I'll have to make sure I have a ride home, 'cause I'll miss the bus even if I somehow manage to get out early. Stupid Greeks and their stupid LISTS of stuff: I do not care about the names of the nymphs Okeanos and Tethys bore, nor which places Leto visited trying to birth Apollo, nor who-all was playing with Persephone when she was kidnapped by Hades! Feh. Multiple choice and an essay question, of which I will bullshit merrily, I'm sure.
(How does one get six to twelve pages of essay out of twelve lines of poem? One of the gals in my 222 class was faced with this problem for one of her English classes.)
I think I may have actually finally solved a Lenny Conundrum in time to get a first-place trophy on Neopets for it, hehe. It was a word-puzzle this week, and I happened to come across it only a few minutes after it went up. Easy for me (took me a minute or two to solve), although some folk had a bit of trouble with it, apparently, so I'm hoping~
But, hey, there's one good thing about today.

I'm really, really happy with it - the little details in his obi, the crest in the background, the sprout in his hands, and the modification of the artist's signature to a Japanese style... Thank you, Dracanta! Is gorgeous~
