Sleepyhead
Feb. 26th, 2008 11:52 pmThe fuzzy kind of state of mind that you fall into when you're tired is very odd. I'm fairly prone to getting distracted even when I'm not short on sleep, but it's about twenty times worse when I'm tired – I paused for about a minute in the middle of that past sentence trying to remember what it was I wanted to say. Threads are dropped all over the place, you see.
The state of mind itself is also rather neat, that half-floaty feeling, almost as if gravity were not working on your head. It still does, however, and this is made painfully obvious whenever you begin to nod off and fall off of your chair. I have not done that yet, but it is a possibility if I stay awake for too much longer. The coffee and tea only ever does so much, tasty though it is, and I'm not of the mind to try these newfangled caffeine pills that everyone seems to be popping these days.
I think the best solution is to go to bed, right now, in fact.
