This was a triumph.

I couldn't quite help from whistling "Still Alive" as I was decorating it. He didn't quite understand, right away - it required a prompt of "It's not a lie." Still. He and his bud were duly impressed.

Turned out quite well. It was delicious and moist - no, really. And, holy cow, so much chocolate. Three layers of scratch devil's food cake, whipped cream between the layers, french chocolate icing, chocolate shavings (pre-done from a shaker jar! I didn't know you could get them pre-done; saved so much time, even if it was more expensive), whipped cream, and cherries.

Plus a candle, of course.

I was going to invite his best friend, the Companion Cube. Of course, he couldn't come because I was too lazy to print out the Cubee for it. Oh well.

HUGE SUCCESS, anyways.
