Dec. 29th, 2009 11:54 pmDamn computer is borked for the moment - think the boot record managed to get corrupted somehow. My little EeePC, thankfully, can now reconnect to wireless with ease (I got dad a new wireless router for Christmas, the old one having shot itself almost a year ago), so I'm not completely disconnected, but if I don't appear much tomorrow for certain things (HI SLINK), that might be why. I'm just waiting on a floppy disk with drivers to appear before I can get to fixing it.
Saw Avatar today with dad and Trav. It was very pretty. We didn't get to see it on the Imax like we wanted to, but it sold out really quickly until late o'clock tonight, so. Trav didn't like the fact that the 3D gave him something of a headache, but I thought it was kind of neat nonetheless (and my headache was smaller, hehe, probably because with my glasses I'm used to looking at the world out of focus).
( Spoilers. )
But I wasn't expecting anything more than pretty, so I came away satisfied with the shinies. I think I might have dreams of luminescent forests tonight.
...Also, I really wanna play MPT now, and just get lost on Tallon IV for a while. Stace's present needs to hurry up and get here.
Done at Linmark for another season. Maybe for the last season - depends on what kind of job I end up securing, shortly.
Agh, job-hunting. I hate it. I don't even know what I'm going to look for. I have no idea what I'm friggin' qualified for, hell. Running away and hiding in a hole almost seems like a good idea at this point.
But then I'd have to leave behind my mountain of Christmas presents. And shit, it's a monstrous thing. I got entirely too much - I wasn't expecting a second pile from Trav's family at all. I don't even remember half of what I got.
...Oh, except that no one seems to make belts to fit women that wear size 14-pants. Hey, fashion-folk. We don't want our pants 'round our ankles, either, you know? Sigh.
