"An autopsy has confirmed that Los Angeles socialite Casey Johnson died of a complication of diabetes.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s report released Thursday showed the 30-year-old Johnson, an heir to the Johnson & Johnson health care products fortune, died of diabetic ketoacidosis. Diabetic ketoacidosis is a life-threatening condition caused by lack of insulin and sky-high blood sugar."

Man, how the hell do you go about dying from ketoacidosis at the age of 30? :\

Oh, wait. You stop taking your insulin, that's how.

Idiot.

Maybe once word about this gets out, those stupid little shits who think to get themselves thin by not taking their insulin will think twice.

(I won't say that's what madam Johnson was necessarily doing in this case, but damn. Seriously, you can't just develop ketoacidosis over a long period of time, like some diabetes complications. Well, as long as you're otherwise healthy, anyways. You usually actually have to go off your insulin, and I'm not talking just forgetting to take one shot, neither - which I have done in recent memory, and hell, once you start feeling ill because of it you remember pretty quick. The article also stated she'd had type 1 since she was a kid, too, so it wasn't due to the disease kicking in just now.)

In happier, less-aggravating news, though, it was a good day for Canada at the Olympics~ Not that we haven't had a lot of good days lately, barring SHITASTIC PERFORMANCE BY AN UNNAMED GOALIE. And that thing with the speed skaters on the weekend, but that was excusable on Klassen's part, anyways.

Still, now that the women's hockey team has their gold, the men's had better get moving. :3
