Them little newsboxes are evil...

Well, the current Keenspot one, anywhoo - the whole gang of Lizard looking very happy and playful, stays there for a bit, then suddenly changes for two seconds to a horrific blobby looking abstractation of the characters. ^^; It's really sorta creepy.
Anywhoo, yesterday was a tad interesting... Grabbed my passport thingie from school - er, FH, that is - and took a wander up to SFU to get various things done.
I hate lineups, I really really do. ^^; Forgot what my student number was, so I had to wait for forty-five minutes in a line to get that, then go downstairs to wait through another eternal line to get my ID done (and the dude took my photo without warning me, so I'm not smiling, and it's really quite... Crappy. XD), and then through another even BIGGER line to get my U-pass, some thing that allows me to ride on transit for free. Which is a good thing. But the line wasn't a good thing.
And isn't it always funny how things happen when you least need them to? I was finally near to the end of the line - only two or three people ahead of me - when the computers that the staff were using to do the passes suddenly stopped working. Apparently the network had been hit by a worm, and lagged all to hell, refusing to work. Which meant more waiting for the systems to get a little fixed. In the end, they were still kinda slow, but they managed to pull through. Thankfully, or there would've been dead computers strewn about SFU by the time the crowd of us got through with them.
But I got home eventually, with a latte for my trouble. ^^
Today was really quite boring... Sean's little friends came over, and the house rang with assorted bellowing and shrieking. I retreated to my room for most of the afternoon, but, damnit, that sort of stuff grates on your nerves after a while... There was supposed to have been a beach party, too, but things got a little fumbled and I went nowhere near the beach. ^^; Eh.
Tomorrow I need to get up early (>_<) to go check out hot-tubs... My parents have finally decided to get one, and my mom wants my opinion on which of the two we should get, for some reason. ^^;
And it looks like another year shall pass without me being able to enjoy the PNE. *sigh* I do wish that I could go somewhere near it without a purpose such as working, like the past two years... Haven't been to it for fun since elementary school.
*looks down at the cat who's just settled on her arms, making it quite hard to type, and giggles* Marma makes everything nice again. ^^
