Blahblahblah.

Man, I really don't feel all that well. I hope I didn't pick up whatever Trav's dad came down with.
So I'm back! Obviously. Even though I really didn't tell any of my RP-homies that I was even disappearing for five days... Oops. XD Oh well. I did have some limited access (by stealing Trav's laptop and his grandparents' phone line), but that was only for a little bit, just enough for me to do the Daily Dares on Neopets (couldn't very well miss a day, I couldn't!).
The trip was good, though, aside from the long drives and the brown. Not the Browns, they were fine (if a little overwhelming when they all gathered together), but Calgary itself is... brown. I guess I'm just used to having things be green all the time, but still. Also very flat. And suddenly hilly. I dunno, it's not exactly my preferred terrain. Not enough trees.
The drives themselves were kind of annoying - about eleven hours both ways, due to some detours 'cause the mountains decided to be assy. I didn't mind the drive there so much, as it was interesting and I could see outside and such, but the drive back was kind of terrible. Night driving and I don't get along very well. I kinda get nervous. Particularly when the drivers in question are ill/tired and it's over winding, mountainous roads.
At least the sunset and phasing into night was kind of neat. I do love sundown more than any other part of the day.
The rest of the weekend was fine (excepting the highly sulfuric water that smelled rather like rotten eggs at Trav's grandparents' place, but). The wedding was fun, lots of dancing and such. I jigged most enthusiastically during Home for a Rest and pretty much killed my lungs for the rest of the night. It was kind of a pity that we spent most of our own anniversary cooped up in a car, but alas, it was a needed thing.
Also, pug-schnauzer crosses are ugly as all heck. Big floofy doberman crosses, though, they're nice.
Aside from that... Midterms are all done now. Just a few weekly assignments and one more paper to write before finals. Shouldn't be anything too difficult, although I am rather behind in my mythology readings. Eh. Chinese is beginning to get harder to remember - our vocab has increased somewhat over the past three weeks. I just need to sit down and really write everything out one of these days, and I should be fine.
Paid off the rest of my tuition today, although it's on loan from Mom, me being absolutely dead broke. At least my tax return looks like it'll be sizeable.
Kinda just chilling in all of the RPs now, really. Midgard's in the midst of a lull (although I do have a post I should reply to - but I'm not really sure what the answer is. Snaaaaaps, need you!). Second Heaven's not starting for a bit yet, but I need to get my apps in. I've decided to put in Aethan from the old Arezon game as a student, but hell, he's going to need one hell of a rewrite. Rhae won't be too hard. Should have them done within the week, depending on how my mind goes. Kith has been particularly inactive, since both Khay and Firey have been gone - I could post in the feast thread, I suppose, but I don't really have anything to do there. Alas! Have come back to AKP, though. I do hope I'm given the okay to go ahead and try to design a shiny new webpage for the dream. Got some ideas that I think would work out really well, and I don't mind maintaining it if no-one else has the time for it. How hard could it be, hehe? Have to finish my shiny new layout first, though~
Anywhoo. Must return to my homework. Missed all the ling 222 classes last week, must figure out head movement, rawr textbook where did you gooooo?
